Traffic engineering makes very high demands, which are reflected in the legal requirements and the special operating conditions.
Operational safety, freedom from maintenance and high availability in harsh environments are prerequisites in traffic engineering.
At the same time, high demands are placed on vibration and oscillation stability and acceleration values even up to 8G are not uncommon.
The actuators must be highly overload-resistant, withstand strong temperature differences, withstand the harsh climatic and environmental influences and have the optimum cooling concept for the respective application. Since these requirements vary greatly depending on the type of vehicle and the place of installation, only adapted robust special drives are used here. Often with directly mounted axle drives, which CEDS DURARIVE also designs.

CEDS DURADRIVE manufactures durable drives that are exposed to the most extreme climatic influences, dirt and heavy mechanical loads.
Optimum cooling
Optimum cooling of the drive unit further reduces power loss and avoids thermal stresses in the housing. An increase in availability and service life is thus guaranteed. Different cooling types can be realized e.g. by self-ventilation, forced ventilation, self-cooling, open-circuit ventilation or liquid cooling. With existing cooling circuits, a liquid-cooled motor can often be designed and connected to the existing system.
Customized design
In the field of retrofit and modernization, the special adaptation of the engine and transmission to the existing design is a major challenge. CEDS DURADRIVE solves this with creative design and competent engineering.
